About the role
We are seeking a reliable and organized Payroll Benefits Coordinator (PBC) to manage employee payroll, coordinate new hire onboarding, and serve as a liaison for benefits-related matters at our facility. This is a key administrative role that supports smooth HR operations and ensures employees are paid accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Review and correct daily timecards (missed punches, shift changes, overtime)
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy in hours, rates, bonuses, and deductions
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and union agreements
- Manage pay changes and personnel actions (hires, terminations, rate changes)
- Coordinate off-cycle payments and ensure proper documentation (manual checks, Wisely cards)
- Serve as an on-site contact for employee benefits questions
- Assist new hires with enrollment or waivers during orientation
- Monitor employee leaves (FMLA, Workers’ Comp, etc.) and ensure proper processing
- Help employees navigate ADP for benefit updates and leave applications
- Guide new hires through pre-boarding tasks, including background checks and references
- Review onboarding documents for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate start dates and orientation details to teams
- Order name badges and assist with orientation as needed
- Assist with OSHA 300 log management and WOTC tracking
- Reconcile petty cash card transactions
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, or administrative support (or a bachelor's degree)
- Experience with payroll/timekeeping systems (ADP or similar) is strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to regular attendance
Pay
$52,000–$54,000 annually
