Responsibilities
- Aid in weekly payroll duties, including data entry, overtime calculation, bonuses, and deductions.
- Verify timesheets and attendance records for accuracy.
- Provide support for payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist in generating payroll reports and preparing for audits or year-end tax filings (e.g., W-2s).
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; a degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 3-5 years of previous payroll experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and payroll software.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and high integrity in handling confidential information.
- Strong critical thinking skills to resolve discrepancies.
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll software.
- Effective communication and a proactive approach to follow-up.
- The ability to collaborate with teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely project execution.
