About the role
This role is fully remote, with the option to work from our HQ or retail locations in the Tampa Bay area. Qualified candidates must live in the Tampa Bay area. Occasional travel between Grow locations within the Tampa Bay area is required. For remote roles, candidates must be located in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, IA, KS, KY, LA, MS, MO, MT, NE, NH, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, WV, WI, or WY.
Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for 600+ employees.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related audit activity.
- Maintain a strong controls orientation and proactively identify compliance risk.
- Partner with HR leadership to strengthen the accuracy and integrity of payroll operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of three years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll, with an enterprise HRIS platform; Dayforce (Ceridian) experience strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance.
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
