About the role
This position requires working knowledge in the areas of Payroll and Benefits including planning, directing, and coordinating payroll and benefits activities of a General Beverage Sales Company. Duties include employee compensation issues, processing payroll, administering benefits program, recruitment, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Enter hours and earnings, employee master file maintenance, and maintain benefit deductions.
- Check, balance, and process payroll locations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Human Resources questions and concerns, triaging inquiries and directing them to the appropriate individual or department as needed.
- Communicate and work with other HR staff members to ensure the standardization and consistency of corporate policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain records for controlling personnel transactions, reporting personnel data, and maintain personnel records to comply with government regulations.
- Administer employee benefit programs to include retirement, medical, life, dental, long-term disability, workers’ compensation, flexible spending, and unemployment compensation. Assure the benefit programs are in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Help coordinate and manage internal recruitment efforts. Assure the interview and selection process is handled in accordance with federal and state hiring laws and regulations.
- Participate in professional development activities to keep current with employment law changes and requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
