Payroll Analyst
Supports the payroll team
- Gathers and reconciles timekeeping data
- Processes employee payroll changes in Workday
- Reviews and audits periodic payroll reports for designated US payroll groups
- Audits timekeeping data for adherence to Saputo pay rules and compliance requirements
- Addresses non-compliant issues and collaborates with Payroll Manager and plant HR to resolve
- Ensures compliance with US Federal, State, and local laws during payroll processing
- Processes ad hoc files from third-party vendors, such as garnishments and relocation payments
- Audits union dues and issues payment for designated pay groups
- Corrects and communicates any variances and catch-up of dues
- Audits and reviews integrations between timekeeping and payroll systems for data integrity
- Acts as main point of contact for employee inquiries and communicates payroll processes to plant HR/payroll
- Balances year-end W2’s and issues W2C’s if required
- Processes off-cycle payments for designated pay groups
- Audits and processes payroll data for internal and external audits
- Ensures appropriate approvals are received from sites and follows up when necessary
- Creates and runs various payroll reports in Workday for distribution to plant HR team
- Assists Payroll Manager in evaluating current payroll processes and implementing improvements
You are best suited for the role if you...
- Have at least five years of US payroll processing experience for mid to large size companies
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field (preferred)
- Have knowledge of multi-state, multi-jurisdiction environments, taxes, and labor laws for the US
- Are an analytical thinker and team player
- Have experience with ADP (Smart Compliance), Workforce, and Workday
- Have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Are proficient in Excel, including Pivot tables, V-lookups, and formulas

Salary range: $61,820 - $81,140. Salary offers vary commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
