Payroll Analyst
About the role
The Payroll Analyst will be part of the NAMER payroll team responsible for preparing and processing US payroll for assigned entities within Monks. This is a role for someone curious to learn more and willing to innovate.
Responsibilities
- Process and prepare bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi-state payrolls
- Avoid errors in payroll transactions and ensure they are processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Work closely with the HR People team as well as our international finance and payroll teams
- Perform audits and work with our Payroll Manager on state and federal payroll tax matters to ensure the Company is compliant in all the latest tax developments and legislations
- Perform payroll analysis and research as required
- Absorb and assist in preparing payroll and financial audits
- Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional payroll matters
- Absorb and assist in assisting with ad hoc projects such as documenting workflows, registering in new states for payroll taxation, improving processes/procedures, and system implementations
- Coordinate with Finance in the recording of payroll and 401 (k) transactions within agency's financial platform
- Receive, review and process freelancer/contractor invoices, benefits invoices, and other semi-monthly/monthly billings
- Maintain and update our HRIS and payroll systems data to include new hires, terminations, promotions/salary changes, title changes, benefits, and garnishments
- Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll related inquiries
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience processing medium to large size company payroll
- Experience with processing multi-state payroll
- Experience with G Suite, including Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets, is a plus
- Experience with Ceridian/Dayforce and Workday is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excel in analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong work ethic and ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
- Strong multi-tasking and attention to detail skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments

Pay
$70,000—$75,000 USD
Schedule
This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
