Job Details
- Pay: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
- Company: Our client specializes in the commercial and industrial construction space.
Responsibilities
- Processing and managing all aspects of payroll for both Canadian and US employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Conducting thorough variance analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Reconciling payroll data and ensuring accurate reporting and recording of payroll transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with Davis Bacon Act requirements in all payroll functions.
- Collaborating with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless integration of payroll data with other business systems.
- Preparing and delivering payroll reports for review by management.
- Staying updated on changes in payroll and tax laws and regulations and ensuring company compliance.
- Participating in internal and external audits related to payroll and providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the Construction industry.
- Proven experience with Variance Analysis, Canadian and US payroll, Reconciliation, and Davis Bacon.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Proficient in using payroll software and other related systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
