Key Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency within processing of payroll, prepares reports highlighting performance against targets.
- Verifying payroll data integrity
- Analyzing payroll performance with suggestions for improvement areas.
- Works with Management to ensure timecards are received on time, PTO requests are processed, and bonus / incentive pay is accurate.
- Works with employees to resolve pay and accrual discrepancies.
- Closely with accounting to provide payroll reports in a timely manner.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal wage and hour laws regarding current and terminated employees.
- Overseeing the distribution of paychecks and direct deposits.
- Analyzes payroll process efficiency while reporting to management on each payroll run.
- Identifies areas of opportunity and presents improvement plans to the Payroll Manager.
- Verifies all employees are associated within the correct tax authorities, both state and local jurisdictions.
- Works with management team to implement improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in financial-related position required.
- Expert knowledge of payroll systems.
- Expert time management, problem solving and data analysis skills.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and professional image.
- High level of proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word and Excel.
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Initiative/self-directed, self-motivated.
- Ability to respond to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks/projects.
- Ability to perform complex statistical analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Advanced keyboard usage.
Base Pay Range
Hourly salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $33.00 - $36.00 per hour. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
