Payroll Analyst

Key Responsibilities And Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency within processing of payroll, prepares reports highlighting performance against targets.
• Verifying payroll data integrity
• Analyzing payroll performance with suggestions for improvement areas.
• Works with Management to ensure timecards are received on time, PTO requests are processed, and bonus / incentive pay is accurate.
• Works with employees to resolve pay and accrual discrepancies.
• Closely with accounting to provide payroll reports in a timely manner.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal wage and hour laws regarding current and terminated employees.
• Overseeing the distribution of paychecks and direct deposits.
• Analyzes payroll process efficiency while reporting to management on each payroll run.
• Identifies areas of opportunity and presents improvement plans to the Payroll Manager.
• Verifies all employees are associated within the correct tax authorities, both state and local jurisdictions.
• Works with management team to implement improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in financial-related position required.
• Expert knowledge of payroll systems.
• Expert time management, problem solving and data analysis skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills and professional image.
• High level of proficiency with MS Office tools, including Word and Excel.
• Effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Initiative/self-directed, self-motivated.
• Ability to respond to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks/projects.
• Ability to perform complex statistical analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Advanced keyboard usage.

Base Pay Range

Hourly salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $33.00 - $36.00 per hour. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
