About the Role

This position requires a working knowledge of payroll processes, policies, and procedures within a complex academic health system.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve payroll-related problems using judgment and analytical skills.
  • Exercise the utmost discretion in managing sensitive information, including employee and student records, health and patient records, financial data, and strategic plans.
  • Ensure sensitive information is shared only on a limited, need-to-know basis and is properly safeguarded in compliance with organizational policies and data protection laws.
  • Follow secure handling practices for physical and digital records and proper usage of IT systems to prevent data leaks.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of MS Office software programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated judgment and analytical skills to resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • 2 years of experience in payroll processes, policies, and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical center payroll policies and procedures.
