About the Role
This position requires a working knowledge of payroll processes, policies, and procedures within a complex academic health system.
Responsibilities
- Identify, analyze, and resolve payroll-related problems using judgment and analytical skills.
- Exercise the utmost discretion in managing sensitive information, including employee and student records, health and patient records, financial data, and strategic plans.
- Ensure sensitive information is shared only on a limited, need-to-know basis and is properly safeguarded.
- Follow all organizational policies and laws on data protection and privacy, including secure handling of physical and digital records and proper usage of IT systems.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of MS Office software programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated judgment and analytical skills to resolve payroll-related problems.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- 2 years of experience in payroll processes, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical center payroll policies and procedures.
