Payroll Administrator (Contract)

About the role

Temporary Payroll Specialist for a well-established electrical contractor, based in West Jordan, UT with fully remote availability. The role provides coverage through December in a high-volume, multi-state payroll environment.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 950 employees across multiple states
• Manage payroll for a union workforce, including union dues and related deductions
• Process PTO, sick leave and other employee pay adjustments
• Perform payroll-related GL reconciliations
• Support payroll tax-related activities and reconciliations
• Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records
• Work closely with accounting and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
• Assist with other payroll and accounting-related tasks as needed

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on payroll experience
• Union payroll experience required
• Experience with GL reconciliations
• Payroll tax experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a weekly payroll environment
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes quickly

Preferred:

• Experience with Viewpoint Vista
• Construction or electrical contractor payroll experience
• Multi-state payroll experience

Pay

$30-$35/hour DOE
