About the role

We're seeking a Payroll Administrator who excels in precision, problem-solving, and ensuring accurate payroll for all employees. This role involves managing end-to-end payroll processing for all employees using Workday and Deel, configuring and maintaining the Workday payroll module, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll processing for all employees using Workday and Deel
  • Calculate wages, bonuses, and deductions with accuracy and care
  • Make sure every timesheet and record checks out before payroll runs
  • Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and partner with HR and IT on updates, integrations, and testing of the Workday payroll module
  • Automate manual processes where possible
  • Prepare and review tax filings, support audits, and generate payroll reports for leadership and accounting
  • Manage benefit deductions across health insurance, retirement, FSAs, and more
  • Answer questions, resolve pay discrepancies, and help employees navigate Workday self-service tools like pay stubs and direct deposit updates

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 to 5 years of payroll administration experience
  • At least 2 years of direct experience setting up, processing, and troubleshooting within Workday
  • Solid experience with multi-state payroll, garnishments, benefits, deductions, and tax compliance
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Comfortable with payroll reporting and reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Strong, hands-on Workday Payroll expertise
  • CPP or FPC certification (optional but helpful)
  • Experience with Deel, global payroll, EOR, and contractor management
  • Advanced Workday reporting and analytics skills
