What You'll Be Doing

  • Handles vendor invoices and employee payroll to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Main tasks include checking invoices, maintaining vendor and employee records, fixing issues, assisting with audits, managing electronic payments, and timekeeping.
  • Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws such as FLSA.
  • Manage employee payroll-related data, such as timecards, and update employee information.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, addressing questions and resolving payroll discrepancies.

Accounts Payable

  • Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and maintain vendor files.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure timely, accurate payments to vendors.
  • Manage vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process electronic payments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • High attention to detail with accurate data entry and error checking.
  • Ability to learn a third-party payroll system, especially Paycom.
  • Clear and professional communication with internal teams and vendors.
  • Excellent time management: able to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive data with integrity.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; looks for ways to improve processes and accuracy.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing regulations and priorities.

Education

  • High school diploma.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to sit, stand, talk, and hear for extended periods.
  • Requires use of hands for computer, phone, and office equipment.
  • Requires close vision for reading, computer work, and documents.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Able to bend, kneel, or reach as needed for filing, office tasks, or light equipment handling.
  • Able to travel to company locations or job sites as required.

Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $30.00 /Hr.
