This role drives acquisition, engagement, performance, and revenue optimization across debit, credit, and emerging payment portfolios, owning end-to-end product strategy from ideation to ongoing performance management.
Responsibilities
- Acquisition & Go-to-Market Strategy
- Develop and execute acquisition strategies across debit, credit, and emerging payment solutions.
- Lead go-to-market planning for new products and enhancements.
- Optimize digital application, issuance, and wallet provisioning flows.
- Debit & Credit Portfolio Optimization
- Drive transaction and interchange revenue growth.
- Partner with finance and risk to inform credit strategies.
- Improve authorization rates and network performance.
- Emerging Payments Strategy
- Own roadmap for digital wallets, contactless, and real-time payments.
- Evaluate new payment technologies and partnerships.
- Lead cross-functional product development and launches.
- Business Case Development & Financial Accountability
- Develop data-driven business cases for new initiatives.
- Define success metrics and financial assumptions.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting and performance tracking.
- Performance Metrics & Product Measurement
- Define and track portfolio KPIs.
- Analyze performance and optimize product strategy.
- Calculate impact and ROI for growth and retention tactics.
- Card Product Strategy & Network Leadership
- Own value proposition, including rewards and benefits.
- Represent business for payment network initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends.
- Governance, Risk & AI Alignment
- Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards.
- Apply AI-supported insights for decision-making.
Requirements
- 8+ years of related experience in Card or Payments Product Management, Card or Payments Sales Strategy, or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Strong ability to think critically and understand sophisticated customer needs.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Deep knowledge of banking products, including debit cards, credit cards, and digital payments as well as pricing dynamics.
- Experience with product management methodology including new product launches, road mapping, business cases, product enhancements, communication and marketing plans, and robust executive management presentations and reporting development.
- Capable of applying project management techniques to drive execution teams aligned to strategic plans and objectives.
- Excellent speaking skills and written communication.
