Payments Analyst

SRS Acquiom (SRSA) is looking for a Payments Analyst to join our high‑performing Operations team and help power the distribution engine behind complex M&A deals. This role is for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving, data‑heavy environment, where ambiguity is the norm and thinking critically is non‑negotiable. You’ll be at the center of managing payment workflows—tracking everything from shareholder documentation and compliance. The work blends heads‑down processing with heads‑up decision‑making, and you’ll regularly navigate a space where “it depends” is a frequent starting point.

Responsibilities

• Process all mail related to security holder documentation (including Letters of Transmittal and other legal documentation via mail/e‑mail)
• Follow up with security holders regarding deficient items (via phone/email)
• Perform data entry of personally identifiable information (maintaining system of record integrity)
• Populate and reconcile shareholder documents within a data room
• Rotate into daily processing of payments: create payment files for submission to bank partners
• Research returned or delayed payments; process returned payments and stop check requests
• Take ownership of individual transactions and act as the go‑to for questions from security holders and co‑workers
• Track document retention requirements and implement procedures for proper disposal to remain in compliance with FINRA standards
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the customer experience, exceed SLAs, and improve efficiency
• Maintain and support a flexible schedule based on the speed of the deal and the needs of the client; this may include evening or weekend hours where needed
