Payment Posting Specialist

About the Role

HRRMC’s Patient Financial Services department is seeking a detail-oriented Payment Posting Specialist to join our team. This role contributes to our mission while working in a collaborative environment in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post insurance and patient payments for hospital and clinic systems, including manual receipts, electronic remittance advice (ERA), and credit card payments.
• Ensure payment accuracy by posting zero-dollar payments (e.g., deductibles, coverage termination) and collaborating with research staff to resolve unpaid services.
• Balance and reconcile daily deposits to ensure they match bank records, spreadsheets, and system postings.
• Perform monthly reconciliation, researching and resolving variances to ensure all payments are posted by month-end.
• Manage adjustments and refunds, including posting approved miscellaneous adjustments and assisting with patient and insurance refunds.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a hospital and/or physician office setting in registration, billing, or payment posting roles.
