Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and control the paving screw to distribute and level asphalt mix during paving operations.
- Monitor and adjust paving screw speed, angle, and depth to achieve desired asphalt thickness and finish.
- Cook up and coordinate with paving crew members to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations.
- Conduct pre-operation equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or operational issues as they arise.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment.
- Keep an open line of communication with parent company, Libs Paving.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications, Education And Physical Demands
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating paving equipment, particularly paving screw machines, is required.
- A strong understanding of asphalt paving techniques and materials.
- The ability to read and interpret paving plans and specifications.
- A knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- A commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Qualifications, Education And Physical Demands: Additional Information
- Certification or training in equipment operation or asphalt paving techniques is preferred.
- Experience working in the construction or paving industry is a plus.
