Paving Screed Operator

About the role

As a Screed Operator with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, you will support daily operations with our paving crew by operating paving equipment and performing general tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate an asphalt screed paver, making normal adjustments to obtain proper depth, grade, and finished cross‑section of asphalt material.
• Set up the job site, including tack coat application and string line placement.
• Assist the crew with shoveling, raking, and job‑site clean‑up.
• Assist trucks when backing under difficult conditions to help avoid injury or property damage.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating paving equipment.
• Willingness to travel.
• Willingness to work weekends.
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
