Primary Duties
- Communicates technical information and assistance to FPO members, public and private pavement owners through written documentation, oral presentations, and in person events.
- Performs field assessments including onsite project review, pre-construction asphalt design and mixture recommendations and post construction evaluation.
- Represents the interests of the industry before state, federal, and local government agencies and affiliated industry committees and associations.
- Develops training, provides instruction and technical presentations.
- Affords assistance in developing written technical publications and articles.
Qualifications
- Proficient in various computer skills and software to include Microsoft Office and web-based communication tools.
- Detail oriented and have a very strong customer focus.
- Possess a working knowledge of pavement design and construction including: mixture types, pavement thickness design, and pavement maintenance.
- Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills are a must.
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field is preferred.
- Relevant work experience will be considered.
- Must possess a working knowledge of the Ohio Department of Transportation Construction & Materials Specifications.
- Registration in the State of Ohio as a Professional Engineer is preferred.
