About the role
Works in Operations Engineering Department under general supervision of a degreed engineer to support asset management and life-cycle optimization of Keesler AFB roads and pavements.
Responsibilities
- Manage requirements identification and prioritization for roadway and pavement systems
- Work with Operations to develop and implement a program to analyze the condition of sidewalks, roads and other pavement areas and make recommendations for infrastructure longevity and improvement
- Conduct infrastructure system assessments and maintain asset databases
- Conduct root cause analysis of infrastructure failures and provide recommendations for system improvements
- Analyze customer work requests to validate requirements, estimate workload/material costs and make design recommendations
- Support post-storm recovery infrastructure assessments
- Develop/update/manage Asset Management Portfolios (AMP) and sub-AMP(s) for airfield pavements and base-wide road network
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 10 years’ relevant work experience in pavement maintenance
- Associate's degree in engineering technology or formal training equivalent
- Certifications appropriate for level of experience
- Ability to pass a National Agency (NCIC) background check
- Valid Driver’s License
