Pauma Valley Country Club is looking to hire at all levels on the Greens Maintenance Team! Pauma Valley Country Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., opened in 1960 and is one of the premier private clubs in San Diego County. While beautiful, Pauma Valley Country Club’s unique location tucked beneath the foothills of Palomar Mountains in the northern portion of San Diego County makes maintaining turfgrass very challenging with extreme changes in weather occurring at moment’s notice. The property is over 350 acres and includes: tennis courts, pickle ball courts, bocce ball courts, swimming pools, a private airstrip, multiple cottages, and most importantly an 18-hole golf course. Position: Spray Technician Pauma Valley Country Club is looking for an experienced Spray Technician to join the Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate possesses the proper licensing and experience in applying the various pesticides and fertilizers needed to maintain a golf course. This candidate is looking to move up in the industry and learn from our Golf Course Superintendent and staff. Job Responsibilities: *This job responsibilities/requirements in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying the positions. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor. -Safely applying pesticides and fertilizers at the Golf Course Superintendent’s direction. -Calibrating application equipment: hand spreaders, push spreaders, backpack sprayers, walking boom sprayers, and riding sprayers. -Documenting and maintaining application records. -Upkeep of chemical storage area. Employee must obtain license within 90 days of being hired. -Ability to operate the application equipment and vehicles: hand spreaders, push spreaders, backpack sprayers, walking boom sprayers, and riding sprayers. -Math skills necessary to properly apply fertilizers and pesticides. -Accountability. -Willingness to learn and grow. -Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
