Responsibilities
- Coordinate fit and construction processes from initial concept through commercialization and production for assigned styles.
- Create and revise comprehensive Tech Packs, maintaining all necessary development documentation, including product specifications and prototype notes.
- Track and facilitate prototyping activities across the technical design team to ensure smooth progress.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing partners to ensure design intent is met while optimizing for manufacturability.
- Provide innovative solutions to complex construction and fit challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in apparel design, textile science, or a related field. (2+ years of additional product creation experience may substitute for a degree).
- Minimum 5+ years of technical design experience within the apparel industry, covering the full development cycle from inception through production (including pattern making, grading, construction, materials, costing, manufacturing, and quality).
- Strong understanding of patterns and garment construction principles.
- Proven experience with fit sessions and prototype development.
- Expertise in Tech Pack creation and writing detailed product specifications and construction standards.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CLO.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret design intent and propose alternative solutions when necessary.
- Experience collaborating with factory vendors to ensure manufacturability.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Experience with industry-standard CAD pattern design software.
- Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools.
- Prior experience in performance or athletic apparel.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
