About the Role
The Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) will support the European Command (EUCOM) program area. This individual will promote and execute with a quality mindset, quality practices, knowledge sharing, and customer partnership as a member of the Program Leadership Team (PLT).
Responsibilities
- Interface with program quality teams, Program Leadership Teams, suppliers, customers, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure technical, quality, and financial performance and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Proactively review program contract requirements to meet and influence customer needs.
- Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
- Manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders to resolve customer expectations and relationships related to Quality and Mission Assurance (QMA).
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that influence program implementation.
- Improve processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills.
- Assure inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and subsequent management of the quality budget.
- Monitor and lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues.
- Identify when RCCA activities are warranted and generate new Cost of Quality (CoQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
- Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) as applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of five (8) years of engineering experience, preferably within a Quality Division at a commercial, defense, or aerospace company.
- Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance including Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value).
- Working experience in providing technical program oversight for manufacturing and/or design processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) certification.
- Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process and Risk & Opportunity management.
- Experience developing effective relationships in cross-functional teams and with external partners.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
