About the role

Supervise, coach, and support patients and families in a variety of settings. Work in a fast-paced, changing environment to maintain patient safety with mental and behavioral health challenges. Work with patients experiencing a range of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach patients and families
  • Maintain patient safety in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Work with patients experiencing a variety of behavioral and physical symptoms related to mental illness
  • Work day shift: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., rotating weekends
  • Work evenings/nights: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., rotating weekends

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one (1) year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) on hire
  • Safety Care certification (internal training) required within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter
  • Preferred: Training in verbal de-escalation and/or non-violent crisis intervention
  • Experience working with children or adolescents - highly preferred
  • Experience working in inpatient behavioral health settings - highly preferred
  • American Sign Language Skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of related experience in customer service and/or caring for and maintaining safety of children
