PATIENT TRANSPORTER (PART TIME)
About the role
TouchPoint is hiring part time Patient Transporter positions immediately. The address is Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola - 5151 North Ninth Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32504. Online applications are accepted only. Schedules vary, typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, or 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. A high school diploma is required, and prior patient transporter experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, and other patient-related items.
- Secures patient using wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock.
- Ensures the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients to their destination using the proper requested equipment.
- Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or reception and dispatch.
- Maintains the comfort of the patient by being attentive, offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversations.
- Alerts nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
- Maintains equipment and reports any needed repairs.
- Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO guidelines.
- Adheres to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities' HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Prior patient transporter experience preferred.

Pay
