Patient Transporter

• Facilitate internal hospital patient moves
• Properly and safely transport patients, secure IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secure patient
• Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out essential duties
• Demonstrate competency in transporting all specific age groups
• Affordable and accurate transport of patients to their destination using proper requested equipment
• Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch
• Ensure the comfort of the patient by being attentive. Offer blankets, check modesty and only engage in appropriate conversation involving patients. Never transport patients in severe pain
• Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction
• Maintain equipment and report equipment needing repairs
• Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO
• Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Note: No experience necessary. Willing to train!

Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
