Patient Transporter
- Facilitate internal hospital patient moves
- Properly and safely transport patients, secure IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secure patient
- Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out essential duties
- Demonstrate competency in transporting all specific age groups
- Affordable and accurate transport of patients to their destination using proper requested equipment
- Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch
- Ensure the comfort of the patient by being attentive. Offer blankets, check modesty and only engage in appropriate conversation involving patients. Never transport patients in severe pain
- Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction
- Maintain equipment and report equipment needing repairs
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO
- Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the facilities HIPPA policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Note: No experience necessary. Willing to train!
Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.
