Patient Transporter Full-time 36 hours

About the Role

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient-related activities as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Works collaboratively with co-workers both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments.

Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility, as well as to track equipment movement.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between departments using proper body mechanics
• Perform patient-related activities as assigned
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment throughout the Medical Center
• Track patient and equipment movement using Epic software
• Collaborate with co-workers across departments

Requirements

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

Qualifications

• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Two years of customer service experience
