Patient Transporter

About the role

You will assist the smooth operation of the Medical Center by efficiently responding to requests for patient movement between departments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in direct patient care by communicating with patients and families about transport needs, moving patients to the required mode of travel, and transitioning care equipment (IV poles, oxygen lines, cardiac monitoring) from stationary to mobile.
• Transfer patients to and from beds, stretchers, or wheelchairs, with or without assistance from clinical staff, based on patient needs.
• Maintain department upkeep and cleanliness of stretchers, wheelchairs, oxygen cylinders, and ancillary equipment.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No prior experience required.
• No travel required.
