Patient Transporter

Job Description

Transports and assists patients throughout the medical center. May also transport patients to and from appointments at the medical center.

Education & Certification

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• HS Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider preferred, but not required.

Experience

• As Typically Acquired In Previous working experience in a health care environment.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong communication skills for frequent and challenging contact with physicians, patients, families.
• Patience and compassion.
• Ability to lift and position patients properly using best practices.
• Able to maintain composure during challenging interpersonal interactions.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work, tolerate frequent interruptions and work well under pressure.

Shifts & Hours

• Day/Evening/Night Schedule.
• Per Diem/Casual Shift Hours 8 Days Of The Week.
• Variable Weekend Requirements.
• Every other Weekend, Every Weekend.
