The Opportunity

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a Patient Transporter to join their team. The role involves moving patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, utilizing infection prevention techniques and patient transfer methods.

Shift Details

• Part Time Evening
• Tu 1600p-2000, Wed 1330-2000, Sat & Sun 0800-1630

Work Utilizes

• Infection prevention techniques
• Patient transfer techniques
• Knowledge of appropriate routes

Responsibilities

• Affirm patient safety and efficiency during movement
• Communicate effectively with nursing clinical staff
• Recognize when assistance or further guidance is needed
• Maintain and protect patient tubes, lines, and collection devices
• Move patient valuables and equipment
