Patient Transporter

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day patient transport duties to facilitate hospital throughput.
• Provide exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner to all patients during their stay.
• Transport patients, equipment, and other items using wheelchair, stretcher, or bed.
• Assist with morning portables and other assigned duties.
• Strategically plan and communicate patient movement to ensure appropriate resources are available, proactively managing hold hours and unoccupied bedtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
• Minimum six (6) months experience in a patient transportation department in a health‑related facility.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum six (6) months of health‑related transportation department experience preferred (clinical knowledge).
• Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required.

Pay

Hourly wage estimate: $18.90 – $28.34 per hour.
