About the role
The Patient Transporter reports to the Imaging Manager or Imaging Director. Under general supervision, the Patient Transporter assists with the transportation of patients and other ancillary items within the MUSC campus.

- Transport patients and other ancillary items within the MUSC campus
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent (GED)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 2 weeks of hire; thereafter, must maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS), either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
- May require working irregular hours, rotating shifts and weekends
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized allied health course or six months patient care experience in a health care setting preferred
