Job Overview

The Senior Hospital Carrier is responsible for assisting in the transfer and transport of patients on the University Campus. The position requires working 12:00pm to 8:30pm Monday through Friday, and every Saturday from 1:00pm to 9:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the physical move, lift, transfer, and transport of patients on the hospital premises in a timely, efficient, and customer service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness to ensure prompt patient delivery.
  • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport-related tasks.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to patients, families, and all members of the medical team.
  • Utilize provided technology to accurately record transport data.
  • Continuously work to improve interpersonal skills and relationships.
  • Communicate continuously with team members, medical staff, and dispatch.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
  • One year of customer service or patient care experience preferred.

Pay

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.

Schedule

The set schedule is 1.0 FTE, 12:00pm to 8:30pm Monday through Friday, and every Saturday from 1:00pm to 9:30pm. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process.
