Patient Throughput Coordinator - RN

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison to facilitate patient transfers within the hospital.
• Work with referring agencies, hospitals, clinics, and emergency departments to ensure safe and timely patient discharges and transitions.
• Coordinate patient movement across units, including PACU, ED, outpatient, and procedural clinics.
• Collaborate with support services and administrators to maintain capacity management and efficient patient flow in accordance with EMTALA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Knowledge of patient flow operations.
• Prior Epic experience highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, team-building, communication, and computer skills.
