Patient Support Specialist
About the role
IWS Family Health, a community health center providing preventive health care services to children and families, is looking for a bilingual Patient Support Specialist to help grow our practice as we add a third location in 2026. This position will support our team by providing a warm welcome to families onsite and coordinating patient registration.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients
- Update demographic and insurance information
- Assist with Medicaid and benefit applications
- Coordinate patient appointments and follow-up care
- Support patient portal enrollment
- Collect payments
- Ensure accurate documentation and daily reconciliation of patient encounters
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Two years of experience in a clinical or customer service position
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Excellent customer service and communications skills
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems, and committed to helping patients access the care and resources they need.
Pay
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on experience.
