Patient Services Worker

Patient Services Workers are responsible for managing patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. They act as a liaison between patients, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services. Key duties include delivering and collecting patient trays, providing nourishments and snacks, and introducing services to patients. They obtain patient food preferences, communicate dietary needs, and ensure adherence to therapeutic diets and sanitation standards. Additional responsibilities involve inventory management, maintaining temperature logs, and supporting clinical staff to meet patients' nutrition needs. Qualifications include proficiency in English; bilingual abilities are a plus. The role may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, and extended standing or walking, and may require uniforms or PPE.
