About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of employees, providing training, inspiration, and guidance so that each employee has a chance to recognize and develop their potential to the fullest.
  • With guidance from the center manager, help coordinate work schedules, oversee front office operations, and assist in interviewing potential candidates for front office positions.
  • Relieve staff for vacation and sick-time coverage.
  • Greet incoming patients and visitors in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Act as a liaison between the physician(s) and the patients.
  • Register patients, obtain proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures, and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Verify/update changes in patient/physician/insurance information to ensure proper billing, and collect co-pays and fees.
  • Answer phones and schedule patients.
  • Guide patients through the process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns.
  • Notify appropriate team members of patient arrival and coordinate with the back-office staff for timely care of patients.
  • Participate in meetings.
  • Assist in the implementation and administering of procedures and best practices to streamline processes for center operations.
  • Participate in and/or lead various projects to support center operations and quality patient care.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of experience as a Patient Service Representative within a radiology center.
  • High school diploma.

Pay

$24.00 / hour
