Patient Services Specialist - Winston Salem

About the role

We are currently searching for a Patient Services Specialist to work with our OrthoCarolina Winston-Salem team. The Patient Services Specialist greets patients, prepares forms, collects, verifies and enters patient information into EPIC necessary for the timely and accurate processing of patient claims.

Responsibilities

• Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments.
• Performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges, collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.
• Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.

Requirements

• High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor’s degree.
• Prefer minimum of one year experience in a medical clinic setting.
• Flexible schedule as hours will vary.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of insurance.
• Epic/EMR background a plus.
• Medical terminology.
• English language proficiency.
