About the role

The Patient Access Representative assists patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits, completes financial clearance functions, and performs miscellaneous client service activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assists patients during the on-site registration and arrival process for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
  • Completes financial clearance functions on assigned scheduled accounts during registration downtimes.
  • Collects accurate demographic information, insurance information, and collects patient liability (if known) at the time of service for unscheduled visits.
  • Performs miscellaneous client service activities including valuables collection and providing basic customer service.
  • Greet and serve patients in a professional, friendly, and respectful manner to promote positive encounters.

Requirements

  • 6 months Healthcare experience in Business office, Hospital or Medical Office setting.
