Patient Services Specialist

Priority Health Care is looking for a Patient Services Specialist to join our team as the first point of contact for patients at our clinic. This entry-level front desk role is essential to our mission of providing accessible, compassionate healthcare to our community. The ideal person for this role is organized, detail-oriented, courteous, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll create a welcoming atmosphere for patients, manage appointments, process insurance information, and handle payment collections. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors courteously; answer phones and direct calls appropriatelySchedule patient appointments using our electronic health record (EHR) system; confirm and reschedule as neededComplete patient registration, including demographic information, insurance verification, and required consent formsScan and file patient identification and insurance cards into the medical recordCollect copayments and balances at the time of service; process payments accurately and reconcile daily cash drawerScreen patients for financial assistance programs and help with applicationsMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements at all timesAssist patients with patient portal access and direct them to appropriate resources Requirements High school diploma or GED required6 months to 1 year of customer service or healthcare front desk experience preferredProficiency with electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office, and multi-line phones preferredStrong communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressureExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and cash handlingBilingual ability in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plusCurrent BLS certification preferred About Priority Health Care Priority Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality, and compassionate healthcare services.
