Location: Glendale (West Glendale), AZ
Pay: Starting from $17 per hour
Responsibilities
- Answer phone in prompt, courteous, and helpful manner; screen and route calls as needed; create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record; provide information to patients
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients: greet, check in, check out, and provide excellent patient service
- Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification, and handle other physical therapy insurance requirements
- Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly
- Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart
- Route electronic faxes to the correct location or upload to the correct patient chart
- Assist with other duties as needed during downtime
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent customer/patient service skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and perform training on practice management software
- Commitment to expanding knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of medical office experience
- Bilingual (a plus)
- Basic phone handling skills (Contact Center experience)
- Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
