Patient Services Specialist
About the Role
Will handle most clerical duties associated with a medical clinic. The job of Patient Services Specialist (PSS) is divided into "stations." Each station has a distinct set of job duties, which includes job duties that usually are performed by one employee in a usual day. However, in addition to the "usual" duties of the station they are sitting in, every PSS employee is required and expected to assist their co-workers in performing every job duty of a PSS at all times. All employees hired for the Patient Services Specialist position will be expected to learn and perform all duties of all front office stations. Due to the different office layouts, the person doing the named station that day or week may not perform some of the listed job duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform all clerical duties associated with a medical clinic across all front office stations
- Assist co-workers in performing every job duty of a PSS at all times
- Learn and perform all duties of all front office stations
- Demonstrate strong copywriting and editing skills
- Attend to detail and consistently meet time-sensitive priorities
- Maintain organization while remaining flexible according to changing priorities
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma / GED required.
Experience: Experience in the healthcare field is highly preferred. Attention to detail with strong ability to multitask. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills with a wide variety of personalities.

Self-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
Certifications & Licenses
- Valid state Driver's License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings
- Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required
Schedule
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 – 5:30 (will discuss during interview).
