About the Role
You will be the first and last employee our patients interact with during their time at ROC. You can make patients feel less nervous or scared or brighten a patient's day by giving them a warm welcome. Your attention to detail will ensure the correct information is provided to the clinical team and the correct billing is handled for the patient. You are essential to facilitating a great patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Check-in/check-out patients and schedule follow-up appointments
- Accurately enter patient demographic information in electronic medical records
- Scan photo IDs and insurance cards and verify insurances
- Collect applicable co-pays and ensure billing information is updated
- Balance money drawers at the end of the day
- Maintain calm and efficient patient flow through the clinics
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Experience using computer systems and applications, including entering data and typing
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience performing reception duties
