The Patient Services Representative – MRI is responsible for patient registration and check-in as well as clinical support duties. In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating the prior authorization process to ensure patients have the necessary information related to imaging insurance coverage and benefits. This is a full-time role, working Monday - Friday, 7:15 AM - 5:00 PM out of our Stillwater & Woodbury MRI department locations. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions Greet and register patients; collect co-payments, pre-payments, insurance information, and photo IDVerify and document insurance information as defined by current business practicesAccurate and timely scheduling of new and existing patients in the current practice management systemCommunicate all pertinent information to patients, including: appointment information, directions, check-in times, referral information and copaymentsVerify active insurance coverage and benefits for imagingInitiate prior authorization request and follow-up as necessaryMaintain a working knowledge of health care plan requirements and health plan networks. Additionally, be aware of required payer authorization to facilitate care team questions and requestsChart preparation and managementMaintain timely communication with patients, families, and staffAny and all other duties as assigned Education And Experience Requirements High School diploma/GED or equivalentCustomer service experience requiredAdministrative or Medical Office experience preferredInsurance prior authorization experience strongly preferred Benefits & Compensation Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience. A $1,500.00 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus. Working Conditions Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 or more hours per day).Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment.Ability to lift and carry office supplies or files weighing up to 20 pounds.Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents.Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly.Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer).
