About the role

Join our team as a Front Desk/Receptionist, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for patients across our Kent (primary), Stow, and Fairlawn offices. This full-time position requires flexibility to commute between locations and maintain smooth operations at the front desk.

Schedule

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:15 AM – 8:00 PM (rotating across staff)

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Accurately enter, update, and verify insurance information and patient demographics using multiple medical computer programs.
  • Complete patient registration by reviewing accounts and compliance-related documents for accuracy; obtain and document missing information.
  • Prepare paperwork for patient visits and verify benefits/eligibility as needed.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance; address billing questions, disputes, or escalate issues to the appropriate team.
  • Monitor patient flow, adjust workflows, and communicate pertinent information to clinical staff.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, guests, back office staff, and providers.
  • Reconcile cash against daily charge and cash reports.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
  • Create, distribute, and file new patient charts/medical records.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as copying, sorting, scanning, and faxing.
  • Check out patients, including collecting payments, updating records, and ensuring form completion.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy front desk area and waiting room; restock supplies as needed.
  • Comply with all organizational policies and procedures, including standard operating procedures and the employee handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a telephone operator role or high call volume environment is desired; prior relevant experience is a plus.
