Patient Services Representative - CCP South Fayette

About the role

This position serves as a Patient Services Representative at UPMC Children’s Community Pediatrics in Bridgeville, PA. Evening availability is required to support the office's operational hours.

Responsibilities

- Greet patients and assist with check-in procedures. - Collect copayments and update patient information. - Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to necessary services. - Provide support and guidance to patients navigating the healthcare system. - Register patients in Biometrics and promote the use of the MyUPMC portal. - Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to available resources. - Verify insurance details, obtain consent signatures, and adhere to HIPAA regulations. - Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform other office duties.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent. - Proficiency with personal computers, office equipment, and typing. - Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred. - Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Medipac, Epic, or similar health records systems is preferred.

Qualifications
