About the role
We are seeking a patient-focused Patient Services Representative to join our team at our Medical Oncology, Hematology Northtowns clinic in Williamsville, NY.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and visitors professionally, creating a friendly and welcoming environment.
- Answer routine inquiries and assist with administrative support for nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff.
- Register patients using EMR, prepare appointments, and verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Collect co-pays and past due balances, process payments, and handle insurance inquiries.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, answer phones, take messages, and make appointments.
- Prepare paperwork and patient records, maintain patient records, and update patient demographic and insurance details.
- Optimize provider schedules, monitor voicemails, and create reminder calls.
- Answer patient inquiries, provide general information, and address concerns, ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Maintain and update patient records, maintain office inventory and equipment, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED and one year of full-time clinical or administrative health care experience.
- One year customer service experience in an office, preferably with patients.
- Experience working in Windows and MS Office software.
