About the role

The Patient Services Representative will welcome patients and visitors to the office, assist with incoming telephone calls, schedule appointments, and provide timely and accurate information and quality customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and visitors to the office
  • Assist with incoming telephone calls
  • Schedule appointments using a computerized scheduling system and conduct follow-up calls when necessary
  • Provide timely and accurate information and quality customer service to incoming patient inquiries
  • Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal, financial, and insurance information

Requirements

  • High school diploma; Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital or medical office setting
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance/benefits, medical terminology and medical billing
  • Women's health, OB/GYN, or Fertility experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.)
  • Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to communicate accurately and concisely
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to organize and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in an ever-changing environment

Qualifications and Skills

Pay

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the ability to float to the Coral Gables office as needed.
