Patient Services Representative Associate

Job Summary

Aid and educate patients, providers, medical office staff, and/or Health system staff in accessing services, resolving issues, and answering navigation questions. Ensure exceptional experiences through various communication channels. Follow established procedures and guidelines while adhering to Corewell Health values.

Essential Functions

• Greet and communicate with patients or visitors.
• Perform clerical tasks such as answering calls, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, generating letters, sorting mail, processing registrations, and uploading documents into EPIC.
• Identify and remind patients about health maintenance needs.
• Document patient calls in the EHR for routing and resolution.
• Assist with patient registration and check-in, confirming demographic and insurance information.
• Schedule follow-up appointments or confirm future appointments.
• Maintain patient medical records according to standards.
• Participate in safety initiatives and complete required safety training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support, or related fields.
