Patient Services Coordinator - Myeloma/Lymphoma

This role coordinates and schedules patient appointments, ensuring timely and accurate scheduling of provider appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments. The Patient Services Coordinator supports smooth patient flow and the multidisciplinary care team in a specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic malignancies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including provider appointments, diagnostic tests, procedures, and treatments.
  • Prepare and maintain daily appointment templates and patient records in One Connect.
  • Communicate pertinent information to families, physicians, team members, and other patient care areas.
  • Prepare patient materials and documentation according to established procedures.
  • Collect co-payments and validate patient insurance and demographics.
  • Update payment and patient information; reconcile One Connect cash drawer daily.
  • Perform validation of the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire (MSPQ).
  • Ensure coordination of benefits and assignment of Hospital Account Record (HAR).
  • Follow standard operating procedures for institution and center.
  • Protect the security and confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of relevant work experience (may substitute additional education for required experience on a one-to-one basis).
  • Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.

Qualifications

  • Three years of customer service experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Combination of two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays.
  • Evening/Night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, and 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Pay

  • Hourly salary range based on a 36-hour work week: $19.23/hour (minimum), $24.03/hour (midpoint), $28.85/hour (maximum).li>
